You can now play croquet on a rooftop in east London

There are few things Londoners haven’t done on a rooftop by now. The capital’s sky high spaces are already home to summer cinemas, mini golf courses and beaches, and now the people at Tobacco Dock are creating a space dedicated to lawn sports. Croquet and petanqué (like bowls but French) to be exact.

A lawn club-themed space named Skylight will take over the top three levels of a former car park in of east London from May 25.

The classy new pop-up will also be serving up street food and cocktails to keep you well lubricated for all that sporting action, with a bar for every story. Grub comes courtesy of burger pros We Serve Humans and Greek street food brand Yiro.
