Win a spot on a charity zipwire ride across the River Thames

Adrenaline junkies, thrill-seekers and firm believers of #YOLO: if the idea of hurtling yourself across the River Thames at up to 40mph sounds like just the thing you’ve been meaning to tick off your bucket list, December could be your lucky month. Evelina London Children’s hospital is giving away a place on an exclusive zipwire ride they’ve organised for 20 of their supporters on December 2.

The trip will go from St Thomas’ Hospital towards the Houses of Parliament, which, to put that in numbers, is a 463-metre distance – nearly twice the length of Westminster Bridge – at a not-sky-high-but-ridiculously-high-enough 52 metres above water. Yikes. But if that doesn’t put you off in the slightest, you can try your luck at winning a free spot by entering the hospital’s prize draw.

You’ve got until 4pm on November 22 to get involved, which gives you plenty of time to mull it over. But go on, you know you wanna. Alternatively, you can still be a hero by digging deep into your pockets and sparing a bit of cash for the hospital instead. All money donated will go towards a new Clinical Research Facility for children – so it’s a total win-win.

Enter the competition, chip in or do both at www.supportevelina.org.uk/zip.
