You’re invited to go balls-deep on Tuesday September 6 at London’s first ever croqueta cook-off, the Croquetas Challenge. The event is taking place at Ember Yard and will see leading London chefs from Spanish-leaning restaurants battle it out to make the best croquetas in town.

Contestants include reigning tapas restaurants like Salt Yard, Brindisa, Jose Pizarro and Copita, as well as newer joints on the scene like Duende and Oldroyd. They’ll be submitting traditional jamon croquetas as well as new-fangled recipes, from smoked eel with horseradish and beetroot to aubergine and goat's cheese, all to be judged by a panel of foodie experts.

So if you like your béchamel covered in crumbs, snap up a £15 ticket to try them all and see who’s crowned the king of the croquetas.

To book a place at the event, email info@emberyard.co.uk
