We’re holding the ultimate rooftop party next week

As the Oxford Street department stores prepare to dig out the tinsel, it’s time to confront the reality that your window of opportunity for rooftop funtimes is getting slimmer and slimmer. Fortunately for you, we’ve teamed up with Frontier to put on the rooftop event of the summer – the kind of party you’ll look back on while huddled around a fire in the not-too-distant future and let out a wistful sigh.

Taking over the roof of Old Truman Brewery on Brick Lane for one night only, Smoke & Spice On The Roof is set to be a glorious collision of grilled meat, chilled beer and dreamy views. Food comes courtesy of Josh Katz – the man behind Haggerston’s Berber & Q – who’ll be firing up the coals for a Levantine feast of epic proportions. Dishes on the night will include Josh’s famous barbecued whole lamb, pit-roasted pumpkin and cauliflower shawarma – a personal fave of Time Out London’s Food editor.

Drinks, meanwhile, come courtesy of Frontier – a light-bodied, highly swiggable London-brewed craft lager that pairs perfectly with smoke-heavy dishes. As well as your food, each £10 ticket includes four drinks, should your thirst require a little extra slaking.

Factor in a beat-dropping DJ, toasty firepits and an awesome crowd (this is a Time Out event, after all) and you’ve got the perfect send-off to summer.

Smoke & Spice On The Roof takes place at the Old Truman Brewery on September 7, 6pm-9pm. Get your £10 ticket here
