In honour of the Battle of the Somme centenary today, people across the city have paid tribute to the soldiers who lost their lives. Silent actors dressed in dressed in World War I uniforms have been handing out cards with the names of those who died, as well as the date of their death, their age and the battalion in which they fought. They've been spotted at stations across London including Waterloo, Oxford Street and Liverpool Street.
