Time Out’s unique movie boat returns next week after a sold-out run back in June and July – and there are still tickets left to watch ‘Jaws’ on the river on the night of Thursday September 21.
If the idea of watching ‘Jaws’ in the dark on the open river fills you with horror (which is kind of the point), don’t worry: we’ve got softer options for you, including the romantic classic ‘Breakfast at Tiffany’s’ (Friday September 22).
Movies on the River returns next Tuesday September 19. Over five nights, Londoners will be able to watch a different movie each evening on the top deck of a cruise boat on the Thames. The week will end with a screening of the Baz Luhrmann favourite ‘Romeo + Juliet’.
Each evening, audiences will enjoy a short cruise through the City and the West End (fuelled by an on-board bar), before settling down to watch the night’s movie in the shadow of Big Ben and the London Eye.
Is there a better way of waving goodbye to the outdoor cinema season than snuggling up on the top deck of a boat to watch a movie with the very best of the city all around you? Outside, now!
Movies on the River with City Cruises returns on Tuesday September 19 with a screening of ‘Dirty Dancing’.
