Planning on using the Circle line this weekend? Don't bother – the whole damn thing will be out of action until Monday. But it's fine, you can just use another line, right? Well, yes, but TfL is also partially closing six other lines on the network, because no-one needs to get anywhere on the weekends, do they? Here's what you need to know.

Circle

Saturday and Sunday: The entire line will be closed.

District

Saturday and Sunday: No service between Tower Hill and West Ham.

DLR

Saturday and Sunday: No service between Westferry/Poplar and Island Gardens.

Hammersmith & City

Saturday and Sunday: No service between King's Cross St Pancras and Barking.

London Overground

Saturday and Sunday: No service between Highbury & Islington and Shadwell.

Metropolitan

Saturday and Sunday: No service between King's Cross St Pancras and Aldgate

TfL Rail

Sunday: Until 8am, no service between Shenfield and Ilford.

In between conducting planned engineering works, TfL has made a Shakespearean tube map.

And here's how you can go on a tour of a disused tube station.
