Town envy: a fountain dispensing free wine 24/7 has just opened in Italy

Yep, you read the headline right – you’re not drunk. But you definitely could be if you were in Caldari di Ortona right now. The Italian town’s Dora Sarchese Vineyard has just installed a wine fountain that will operate for 24 hours a day – serving up completely free glasses of red (sadly, not rosé all day – they missed a trick there).

The fountain, which sits within a structure shaped like a giant wine barrel (because WINE), was opened as a means of raising awareness of the historic Cammino di San Tommaso pilgrimage route that passes it. Call us prophets, but we predict that a few more people will be seeing the light now. Salute!

We're also jealous of Bordeaux's wine theme park
