1. Christmas arrives in Covent Garden today. Head down to the cobbled piazza to see huge mistletoe chandeliers, a glowing Christmas tree and a magnificent silver reindeer. The whole area will get lit up 5:30pm at the big Christmas lights switch on by Pudsey Bear.

2. Fringe! Queer Film and Arts Fest kicks off today with a diverse programme of films, exhibitions and discussions exploring queer identity. Head to the opening party at 7pm at Dalston Superstore this evening or catch the opening film 'Forbidden Games: The Justin Fashanu Story' at Rio Dalston at 8:30pm.

3. See rare and intimate images of the purple one at 'Picturing Prince: Photographs by Steve Parke'. Parke was Prince's former official photographer, capturing over 500 images of the megastar. Take a glimpse at his selection of the impromptu shots and glimpses of the Prince’s life off stage at Proud Central Gallery for free.
