Next week's restaurant openings are sizzling hot so we've chosen the cream of the crop for your viewing (and eating) pleasure. Now all you need is a clear diary.
Chicama
Opens: Monday August 1
The team behind Pachamama are rolling out another modern Peruvian number – only this time it's in Chelsea and it's all about seafood. Their market-fresh fish menu includes dover sole, rock bass and monkfish cooked on a robata grill and served with house sauces like lobster oil chimichurri and sweet potato chilli. With not a whiff of meat on the menu, this is a pescetarian’s fantasy. And of course, it wouldn’t classify as Peruvian without a solid selection of Pisco and Mezcal. ¡Salud!
Killer Tomato
Soft launch: Friday July 22 to Sunday July 31 with 50% off food and drink
Opens: Wednesday August 3
The former street-food trader Killer Tomato opens a permanent taco and burrito joint in Shepherd's Bush. The rotating list of fillings includes green chorizo and chips, sticky fried chicken and cheeseburger tacos (yeah, you heard right). All spicy sauces are made in-house, ranging from 'Mild is for Wimps' to 'Death Sauce 2'. Pair it with beer by the can, South American wines or a cheeky selection of mescal and tequila.
Cure + Cut
Soft launch: Tuesday August 2 to Friday August 5 with 50% off food
Opens: Saturday August 6
A new deli from the team behind Bibendum is opening in Covent Garden. Chefs brew weekly-changing cordials, make all salads to order and cure, spice, smoke and slice their ethically sourced meats on site. We’re already salivating at the thought of their trademark sarnie – home-smoked pepper-cured Aberdeen Angus pastrami, pickles and Tewkesbury mustard on honey rye. Yup, join the line. (Or, if you’re a local, skip the queue and get it delivered straight to your desk.)
