READY, STEADY, EAT!

Monmouth Kitchen

Soft launch: 50 percent off food at both Monmouth Kitchen and sister restaurant Mayfair Kitchen from Wednesday August 31 to Tuesday September 6 using this link

Opened: Thursday August 25

What do you get when you mix Peruvian tapas with an Italian vibe? Well, find out at Edwardian Hotels’ newest addition. Signature dishes include pan-fried salmon with Calabrian chilli salsa, lobster ceviche and for dessert, warm chocolate spring rolls with passion fruit sauce and coconut sorbet. And they’ll taste even better when enjoyed on their Monmouth Street alfresco terrace.

Yosma

Soft launch: 50 percent off food (bookings only) until Monday September 5

Opens: Monday September 5

Can't afford a weekend getaway to Istanbul? Panic not – Yosma is bringing the best bits of the city's eating culture to us. Based on a meyhane – an Anatolian tavern – there'll be an open mangal grill doing whole marinated fish, octopus and lamb in many forms. Not to mention a dreamy cold meze selection. Raki will play a big part in the vibe – yes that same Turkish aperitif you still have in your fridge from Kalkan 2013 – but it gets a swish makeover in the raki lounge, with recipes concocted by Matt 'Talented Mr. Fox' Whiley. Trust us, we'll be down there getting freekeh as soon it's open.

Tootoomoo

Soft launch: 50 percent off food now until Sunday September 11

Opens: Tuesday September 13

Once a takeaway-only spot, Tootoomoo will now serve its fun Asian tapas to Islington diners. Based on the ‘shophouses’ of Vietnam and Malaysia, all dishes are street-food-inspired – think shichimi squid, beef rendang and Szechuan chilli with tofu. Wash it down with a few of their flavoured caipirinhas (lychee, mango or pineapple) and you'll be tootoomooing all the way down Upper Street.
