What’s the one thing Londoners love more than the tube map? An alternative take on our beloved transit system, that’s what.

A new website, tagsandthecity, has revamped the tube map to include details of the city’s favourite Instagram spots, renaming stops after the most popular hashtags nearby.

The map, designed by Parisian architecture and transport nerd Jug Cerovic, is part of series which includes other transit systems such as Berlin, New York and Paris.

Knightsbridge, of course, is now #harrods, while Piccadilly Circus has been re-christened #bookofmormon, following the hugely successful West End play, currently showing at The Prince of Wales Theatre.

Most of the hashtags come from nearby museums or music venues, like #ovalspace near Cambridge Heath, #unionchapel down the road from Highbury & Islington or #fabric, close to Farringdon.

There are a few unusual ones, however. Balham is London’s #brunch central, apparently. Earl’s Court, thanks to its Doctor Who connection, is simply #tardis, while Stratford’s hottest hashtag reveals the whereabouts of the, erm, not so #secretcinema.

Like all good alternative tube maps, you can get it printed on pillows, posters and Christmasy-ready gift mugs.
