Sure, fridges are great – they keep your food cool and your drinks chilled. But ever suspected they have a dark side? Well, you will after seeing new show, 'Fridges Fight Back: a Chilling Exhibition'.
Curated by the British Museum of Food, the exhibition highlights 'the deadly side of white goods'. Eek. To make you truly terrified to open your fridge door, there's also a book from Bompas and Parr entitled 'Fridges Fight Back: The White Goods are Restless'.
As a backlash to the filtered foodie photos we see on social media, accounts of lethal fridge fires (and how to prevent them) will go on show along with exhibits revealing the horrors that lurk in the depths of your refrigerator, and plenty more white goods paraphernalia.
But it's not all doom and gloom, the exhibition will also feature a community fridge where you can deposit food and drink that will be shared with local charities and food banks.
Fridges Fight Back: a Chilling Exhibition is at KK Outlet, 42 Hoxton Square, N1 6PB. Until November 30.
