America has given us lots of great things – Cronuts, Beyoncé and 'Stranger Things', to name a few. But there's one thing we could do without (okay two, if you include Donald Trump), and that's the creepy clown craze that seems to have made its way across the pond

The 'fun' new trend involves people dressing up as clowns and scaring the crap out of random people on the streets – and there have been sightings all over town in Uxbridge, Archway, Dagenham and Lewisham.

To help you sleep easy (or possibly to fuel your nightmares, depending on how you look at it), someone has created an interactive map where you can log creepy clown sightings all over the world.

It's currently getting a lot of action in the US, but there's just one sighting logged in the UK, and it's on a street in Croydon. So, just stay away from Croydon and you'll be fine (as ever).
