You don’t usually get to have a nosy at your prospective car boot purchases ahead of time, but then #SheInspiresMe isn’t your average car boot sale. Held at Brewer Street Car Park – a venue that was once an actual working car park and in recent years has played host to London Fashion Week – it reaches its zenith as the location for the most fashun of boot sales this weekend.
There’ll be no rummaging through old tat and haggling over cat ornaments (unless it’s a porcelain Choupette Lagerfeld, obvs) as they’ve revealed that the likes of super-kawaii accessories designer Charlotte Olympia, luxury retailer MatchesFashion.com, reigning fashion demi-gods The British Fashion Council and hyper-lux vintage-reselling website Vestiaire Collective have all donated beautiful pieces.
It’ll be sharpened elbows at the ready as shoppers squabble over Chanel earrings, Gucci belts, Hermès cuffs and Stella McCartney’s glorious tailoring for bargain prices. Make-up maestros from Charlotte Tilbury will be there sprucing up faces, while the team from the Braid Bar will be grooming tangled manes. And the best bit is that it’s all in aid of Women for Women International, an organisation that provides support to marginalised women in countries affected by war and conflict, so for once you get to trade in buyer’s remorse for a warm, fuzzy feeling.
Here's a sneak peak at some of the gems you could pick up:
Brewer Street Car Park, W1F 0LA. Saturday May 6, 1pm - 5pm.
