Shock, surprise, relief; a tumultuous range of emotions were felt last night as the Labour party defied the pre-election polls by gaining a whopping 29 seats across the country, while the Conservatives lost 12; and now some people are getting angry. Following the news that Theresa May will seek to form a minority government with the backing of the DUP (for those Londoners who haven’t googled them yet, that’s the Democratic Unionist Party of Northern Ireland, known for their right-wing views, Euroscepticism, and opposition to same-sex marriage and LGBTQ rights), a protest has been called outside Downing Street, urging the Prime Minister to abandon the plan.

The rally is due to kick off at 5pm today, with the official Facebook invite telling people to ‘Invite your mates. Bring some music. Have a dance.’ More than 700 people have said they’re going. If you want to be one of them click here for more details.
