Continuing the general theme of 2016 that absolutely anything can happen, a Christmas angel has been created out of an old mannequin, and is currently standing proud in South Norwood.

‘Sharon’ the statue holds a chicken drumstick in one hand, and a pair of scissors in the other, a figure of pride and a middle finger to those who criticised South Norwood's high street as ‘run down’ due to its large amount of fried chicken shops and barbers. They clearly don't know that you can never really have enough fried chicken.

The #SoNo Angel will be displayed over the festive period only, but the chicken drumstick and scissors can apparently be seen on the South Norwood official flag all year around. Who knew.
