Whether you’re a fully fledged Pokénut or just an innocent bystander wondering when all of these people are going to get the fuck out of your local park, you’ve no doubt noticed that Pokémon Go is fairly popular right now. So much so that a public Pokémon ‘lure party’ planned this weekend for Trafalgar Square was vetoed by Westminster Council. Fortunately The Grand in Clapham has stepped in and organised a replacement Poké-rave using their in-house Pokéstop. (If that sounds like nonsense, this probably isn’t your sort of party.)

As well as loads of luring, the Grand promises a Pokémon treasure hunt, a confetti drop, a screening room showing old episodes of the Pokémon TV series, Pokémon podium dancers (sexy Pikachu?) and DJs all night. Tickets are free, or £5 with a free drink and a Pokémon mask. Book right here, polish your Pokéballs and prepare to get absolutely Squirtled. It’s what Professor Willow would do.
