There's a crowdfunding campaign to rebuild Peckham Lido

Good news for the amphibious folk of south-east London – a crowdfunding campaign has been launched to rebuild Peckham Lido, which has been absent for nearly 30 years. Plans for the new 50-metre heated pool, which originally opened in 1923, also include an outdoor cinema, a restaurant, a gym and yoga and dance studio. Oh, and a rooftop sunbathing area, because this is Peckham and there always has to be a rooftop involved. The campaign needs to raise £66,502 by July 31 – come on London, let’s pool our resources!
