The folks behind Well Street Market have big plans for the E9 thoroughfare. They're aiming to raise £82,000 to create an affordable community-focused market. As well as keeping locals fed and watered with ace food and drink stalls, the organisers want this to be a place that benefits the community. They'll have a teenage market to help nurture young entrepreneurs in the area, and a student makers market, which will give free economic and business training to local creatives. Plus, they've got plans for a live music stage on market days, which will work in conjunction with an affiliated music mentoring programme.
