⚠️ Services continue to be disrupted by a large hole under the tracks. Latest info https://t.co/3ffJZSC6TM pic.twitter.com/YmbjccTng7

It's been a bit of a rough time for commuters using Southern Railway trains lately. Not only have they been subject to months of delays and cancellations because of an ongoing RMT dispute, but things have just got even worse thanks to a 13-foot sinkhole that's opened up on the railway track at Forest Hill.
The hole has been caused by a large drainage pipe, which collapsed yesterday. Southern and Thameslink services into and out of London Bridge have been disrupted since yesterday, and Southern Railway has announced that the line at Forest Hill will be closed until tomorrow. It's caused chaos for hordes of commuters and, naturally, they've taken to Twitter to air their grievances:
@SouthernRailUK Should I assume #southernrail that you are going to screw all your passengers over for the immediate future?

Hole in the timetable... And now a hole in the track. More bad news for @SouthernRailUK #southernrail

So yeah, basically there's a #sinkhole on my train line today which is probably the earth protesting at how rubbish #SouthernRail are.

Can a train that's not running also be late? No trains. No info. No clue. #southernrail #southernfail @Natt pic.twitter.com/MMoz5lQd2K

For the record @SouthernRailUK a hole in the track is your best excuse yet. #southernrail

Still, the lack of trains is the perfect excuse to 'work from home' and enjoy the sun. Every cloud and all that.

It could be worse (maybe) – remember when this guy's car got swallowed up by a sinkhole?
