That’s right, to celebrate the thirtieth anniversary of batshit 1986 fantasy classic ‘Highlander’ – and the film’s spanking new restoration on DVD – the French Scotsman himself, Christopher Lambert, will be coming to the Prince Charles Cinema in Leicester Square this weekend to introduce the film.

‘Highlander’ stars Lambert as the strapping Scottish warrior of the title, who turns out to be one of an ageless race of deathless supermen waging war down the ages until only one is left standing. Notable for its axe-wailing Queen soundtrack, spectacular mullets, genuinely intense action scenes and the weirdest accents in film history (in addition to Lambert’s mangled Franglish, actual Scottish person Sean Connery appears as – yes! – a Spanish nobleman), the film is something of a trash masterpiece. And here’s a one-of-a-kind chance to hear the star reminisce about its production.

There'll be two screenings of 'Highlander' at the Prince Charles this Sunday afternoonFind out more at princecharlescinema.com and check out these other cool film events happening this week
