We know the stars of the West End can sing and dance… but can they bake?
Perhaps not a question you'd given too much thought to previously, but one you'll nonetheless have answered on Saturday as teams from a plethora of West End shows – from 'The Book of Mormon' to 'Mamma Mia!' – do battle over a hot mixing bowl to determine who is the greatest baker of the them all.
A judging panel of Michael Ball OBE, Dame Barbara Windsor and Christopher Biggins – who are, let's be honest, probably equally as qualified to judge the cakes as the participants are to make them – will decide the winner.
Naturally the event is not entirely spontaneous, but will also raise money for the charity Acting for Others, which will come from the sale of the baked goods at the end. So if it's always been your dream to buy a Victoria sponge made by somebody from 'Les Mis', this is pretty much unmissable.
'West End Bake Off' is at St Ann's Church Courtyard, Soho, Sat Jul 16, 11am-1pm
