London’s agelessly hip new writing powerhouse the Royal Court breaks into the online broadcast business this week with its new, free Playwright’s Podcast. In it, Simon Stephens – the ultra-down-to-earth author of ‘The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time’ and many more plays – chats with a series of the country’s best writers about, you know, theatre stuff. The series kicks off today with the great Irish playwright Enda Walsh who talks about his long career, including collaborating with the late David Bowie on his final project, the musical ‘Lazarus’.

Released for free every Friday for the next few months, the complete line-up is this:

Enda Walsh – Friday December 9

April De Angelis – Friday December 16

Dennis Kelly & Joe Penhall – Friday December 23

Polly Stenham – Friday December 30

David Hare – Friday January 6
