Londoners are coming together this weekend to hold community events all over London as part of The Great Get Together. The event is in honour of and inspired by Labour MP Jo Cox, who was tragically killed on June 16 last year.
From June 16 to 18, The Great Get Together is encouraging neighbours and communities to celebrate all the things we have in common, through street parties, shared barbecues and picnics.
Events are being held all over London, including a street party in Bankside with street food, music, theatre and even a dog show, as well as a huge picnic in the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, where there will be storytelling, circus performers and egg and spoon races on the 60m athletic track.
