Comedy week at The Deck at the National Theatre
Expect plenty of LOLs up on the roof of the National Theatre at this week-long comedy festival at The Deck. Each night has three or four comedians lined up, including Seann Walsh, Josh Widdicombe, Zoe Lyons and some special guests. Tickets are priced £30-£40, which includes a box of nachos and a drink to sweeten the deal. August 24-29, £30-£40. +18 only.
Sweet America
Care for a dance? Old Bengal Bar is teaming up with dancing pros Swing Patrol to host free swing lessons every Friday and Saturday 6pm-8pm this month. Once you're all danced out, chow down on a Philly cheesesteak sandwich and get some well-needed rehydration by sipping on one of their all-American swing dance-inspired cocktails including the Texas Tommie and the Doll Drop. Free film festival at Paddington Central
Catch a free flick at one of the outdoor screenings at Paddington Central's Sheldon Square, where they'll be showing family-friendly films throughout August including 'Back To The Future', 'The Truman Show' and 'Grease'. They'll also be hosting a teddy bear's picnic to tie in with a screening of 'Paddington' and a Robin Williams tribute week to commemorate the first anniversary of his death. Cinnamon Kitchen & Pizza Pilgrims
East meets West for one tasty week this summer as Pizza Pilgrims teams up with Cinnamon Kitchen to serve up Indian-inspired pizzas from their alfresco terrace. Expect flavour fusions including tandoori chicken, green chilli and cheese, a veggie cauliflower and green peas pizza and a lamb rogan josh calzone. They'll also be adding a pinch of spice to some classic Italian cocktails so you can sip on ginger negronis and pococello spicy spritzes. Mamma mia! Cinnamon Kitchen, 9 Devonshire Square, EC2M 4YL. The Porterlight Bicycles Possibility shop
Upgrade your bike at Porterlight Bicycles pop up shop, which sells custom cargo bikes that will make that tiny basket on your bike feel seriously inferior. As well as perusing the bikes, you can also play around with their digital bike configurator, watch a video screening or turn up for one of their free evening talks on cycling, adventure and technology with speakers from the London Cycling campaign and the head of London's Google Campus. 12 Floral Street, Covent Garden, WC2E 9DH. London Beer City Week
Beer-lovers, rejoice! London Beer City week is back for its second year with another week-long celebration of our city's best beer. This year the two main hubs are at Brewdog in Shepherd's Bush and Mother Kelly's in Bethnal Green, but there's also loads of free and ticketed events running throughout the week at pubs across the city including tastings, tours and some food to soak up all that booze. And speaking of food, if you're about to tuck into dinner and not sure what beer to go for, you can tweet @BeerForThat anytime during the week and they'll suggest the perfect beer to go with your food. They'll also be making surprise deliveries across London, so if you use the hashtag #BeerMatch they might even bring you dinner and a beer. Cheers! Various locations, August 7-16.
Urban edibles supper club
Feast on foraged food from all corners of London at this new wild food supper club, which will be serving up small plates made with locally sourced vegetables, herbs and flowers. They'll also be teaching you the tricks of the trade on how you can do some foraging of your own, as well as supplying recipe cards for some inspiration. Marmite Love Café
Are you a lover or a hater? That's the question they'll be asking at this pop-up Marmite Café when you go to pay for your food. Why? Because they're operating a strict 'pay-by-sentiment' policy, where they'll input your Twitter handle in 'love-o-meter' (yes, that's a thing) and find out whether you spread love or hate on social media. If you're deemed a 'lover', you won't pay a penny, but if you're struck off as a hater then you'll have to shell out for your food and drink. Oh, and if you hate Marmite then this one's probably not for you as they're only serving Marmite on toast and Marmite and cheese toasties, as well as Soho Grind coffees. Don't hate the player, ya'll. Duck 'n Roll at Baranis
We recently heard the sad news that the epic street food market Dinerama was badly damaged by a fire and while we eagerly await its reopening, you can at least get your Duck 'n Roll-fix at this weekly pop-up every Saturday at Chancery Lane's Baranis. They'll be serving up the classic and signature burgers, duck summer rolls and confit fries with crazy salt. Baranis, 115 Chancery Lane, WC2A 1PP. Pop-up street velodrome
If you fancy yourself as the next Chris Froome then now's your chance to hit the race track at this pop-up street velodrome at Broadgate Exchange Square. They'll be running open sessions on August 12, 10am-1pm and 3-6pm – all equipment is provided and you can just turn up on the day to sign up. And if you don't fancy hopping on your bike, you can just watch the races where amateur riders will be battling it out. Broadgate Exchange Square, EC2M 2QS. August 12-13.

If you're in the market for some new boho-inspired threads this summer, look no further than Free People's pop-up store, which will be setting up shop in Chelsea for the next six months. 151 King's Road, SW3 4PW. Until January 31.
Pop-up screens
Pop-up screens will be pumping up their giant inflatable screen in parks all over London so that you don't have to spend a hot summer's evening in a stuffy multiplex (we're being optimistic here). Expect plenty of old favourites including 'Ghostbusters', 'Dirty Dancing' and 'The Big Lebowski' – and at £10 a pop, the tickets won't break the bank either. And for movie buffs who just can't get enough, they're also running a promotion where you'll get £1 credit for every ticket you buy. Until September 26. Various locations.
The innocent Coconut Watering Hole
Go coco-nuts at this tiki-inspired pop-up mocktail bar, where the coconut water-based drinks won't cost you dime. Instead, you'll pay for your drinks with emojis. They'll have menus everywhere with specific emojis for each drink – all you need to do is snap a picture at the pop-up and tag it with the emoji and they'll bring you over your drink. They've also got a live steel band and loads of other coconut-themed fun including a coconut shy and coconut beauty treatments. Boxpark, Shoreditch High Street, E1 6GY. August 11, 8am-7.30pm. Free.
