Don your best tweed jacket and get ready for a right old knees-up, because it's nearly time for the eighth annual Tweed Run. On May 14, participants will get dressed up in their finest tweed cycling attire for a 12-mile cycle jaunt around the city. And no, Lycra is definitely not part of the dress code.

Tickets have already sold out for riders, but tickets for spectators will go on sale at noon on April 13. Your ticket will get you into the closing ceremony party in Spa Fields Park in Clerkenwell, where you can stuff your face with delicious barbecue food and sip on cocktails from Bourne & Hollingsworth – and you won't even have to break a sweat. But you will have to wear tweed, obviously.

The party will be in Spa Fields Park, Northampton Road, EC1R. 4pm–9.30pm. £10.

In other two-wheeled news, the number of cyclists in London are equal to a fifth of all tube passengers.
