There’s one sure-fire way to know that Christmas is coming: when your cheese consumption rate is steadily reaching the roof. To help tip you over the calorific edge, Borough Market is putting on a free and festive Evening of Cheese on Wednesday December 14. So exciting, we can't brie-th.

A spread of cheeses from all around the world will feature across 20 stalls, giving inspiration for cheeseboards across the city in time for Christmas Day. Discover goats' cheeses galore, a conical cheese said to be a hit with the royal family and some seriously stinking époisse, plus enough types of chutney to convince you that Branston ain't gonna cut it this year. You can also witness the age-old Italian tradition of 'the cracking of the parmesan' (although we just watched a YouTube video demonstration and it’s no way near as fun as it sounds).
