Street grub supremos Street Feast are set to launch a Canary Wharf market that's open all year round, seven days a week in early 2017. The new venue will sit above Crossrail Place, packing in street food vendors and bars over 10,000 square feet of rooftop space, which surely sounds like their slickest operation yet (but watch those suits, lads, those bao buns can get slippery).
This will be the fourth market under the Street Feast umbrella in London after a recent round of crowdfunding that raised £2.5 million for its parent company, London Union. The group also has plans to add a further five venues to its portfolio of tasty London markets, which already includes Hawker House in Canada Water, Model Market in Lewisham and Dinerama in Shoreditch. The flagship Street Feast site in Dalston Yard closed earlier this year to make way for new flats, so we’re pleased to hear the good vibes are spreading across the capital in other new forms.
The new Street Feast site will be on a rooftop at Crossrail Place in E14 early next year.
In other food news, London's first crisp restaurant is now open.
