Lucky Seven record store owner Jason Gore claims a cruel combination of rising rent prices and the soaring popularity of vinyl has led to him putting the shop on the market. It was reported today in the Hackney Gazette that Gore is to wait until Autumn 2017 before calling it quits, he also explained how the vinyl revival has been a 'double-edged sword', saying: 'The demand is there but I can’t get hold of it as easy as I used to. Prices have doubled in the last four years because of the increase in interest.' The shop on Stoke Newington Church Street has been a pitstop for record collectors keen to rifle through towering piles of eclectic releases. Here's hoping for many more years of crate-digging in Stokey.
