Grab your crimpers, lace up your platforms and dust off those leopard-print flares: a Spice Girls exhibition is on its way to Islington.
The Business Design Centre is setting aside the usual trade fairs and conferences to fill the industrial space with more than 250 Spice Girls costumes. We're expecting silver boob tubes, one-button blazers, diamante-encrusted white jumpsuits and yes – skirt trousers (what were we thinking?). Merchandise and memorabilia will line the walls: think old keyrings, tacky backpacks from the Pepsi Generation era and those terrifying Spice Girl dolls.
The exhibition is a repeat of a similar event that ran in Cyprus in 2016, all thanks to the extreme Spice Girls merch collector, Alan Smith-Allison. You’ll have to wait a while for that Spice hit, though, as the show is scheduled for July 2018.
Say you will be there. Or don’t. Whatever’s good for you.
