It seems a workout ain’t a workout in London nowadays unless you’re doing it somewhere weird – up the Shard, say, or on a bus. So here’s another one for your wacky fitness bucket list: a 45-minute sweat-fest on the London Eye.
It comes courtesy of LA export Barry’s Bootcamp, which will be taking over the big wheel on June 25 for a special charity session. Fifteen pods will be turned into mobile gyms, and if you know nothing about these crazy campers, here's what to expect: a power-packed strength and cardio sesh where you can’t escape the burn (especially if you’re stuck in a pod 135 metres above the Thames).
The only stickler is that this one-off will cost you, not in a week's worth of sore muscles (that's a given), but a whopping £60 a pop. But all proceeds will go to Stand Up To Cancer UK – a charity devoted to cancer research, so
