The weekend is in sight and it’s time to start planning some fun. Here are our top six party picks this week…

Optimo – Until the
 Music Stops

Bethnal Green Working Men's Club. Friday.

BGWMC is one of our favourite London night spots, so it’ll be interesting to see it branch out into more ravey areas with this new set of parties from Glaswegian throw-it-at-the-wall rave royalty Optimo.

Feel My Bicep Italo
Disco Party

The Columbian. Friday

Somewhere in between creating fire, rain, mountains, insects and trampolines, God also created Italo.Fans of this sublime strain of ’80s robotic disco, replete with wonky Italian-into-English lyrics and a flair for the dramatic, should head to this venue next to Corsica Studios in Elephant & Castle as Bicep and Jacques Renault tear it up.

Kulture Klub

The Bussey Building. Friday.

Like hats? Like disco? Oh boy, have we got the night for you. The rule at this night, held at the much-loved Peckham funplex, is that you gotta wear a hat. Concrete Roots

The Magic Roundabout. Saturday.

If you’re driving over Old Street roundabout and notice a very mild tremor jolting the steering wheel, it could well be the sounds of this all-day bass-a-thon at this subterranean venue, featuring ragga, jungle and reggae sounds from Uncle Dugs and Serocee.

Pillow Fight Club

Studio 338. Sunday

The first rule of Pillow Fight Club is you tell absolutely everyone about Pillow Fight Club, and then you battle them with feather-filled cotton cases until the death! There’ll be DJs, acrobats, popcorn, candy floss and something called ‘live goosing’, which is basically like being tarred and feathered.
