Did you know that the graves of William Blake and Daniel Defoe are near Old Street? They’re hidden away in Bunhill Fields but, if plans go ahead, the cultural heritage site may be dwarfed by two new tower blocks at ten and 11 storeys high. Islington Council had planned to reject the application, but Boris Johnson has stepped in and given the developers the green light to go ahead. But Londoners aren't taking the news lying down – they've started a petition calling on Boris Johnson to change his mind, saying that 'In the short term, the noise and disruption will be terrible. In the long term, the garden will be colder and darker and the skyline will be defaced.'

Sign the petition to save Bunhill Fields.

In other sad news, the Feminist Library could be evicted after 30 years.
