[title]
London is in love with gardening at the moment, and getting greener by the minute. In addition to our cheesemakers, microbreweries and the positively frightening hordes of artisan bakeries, we’ve got individual peeps and collective assemblies growing food in skips, on barges and on teensy strips of streetside dirt.
This is all celebrated during Urban Food Fortnight (UFF), which runs September 11–27. UFF links up restaurants, bars, cafés and shops with local producers, and there are loads of edible pleasures on offer involving such top-hole joints as Hawksmoor, Foxlow, Oxo and Midnight Apothecary. And you can go to dinner with the producers themselves, and the community gardens that are popping up like daisies.
