Is it a bird? Is it a plane? No, it’s an X-Wing. In Los Angeles, several streets have been closed to traffic to allow an X-Wing to park up on Hollywood Boulevard ahead of the US premiere on Saturday of Star Wars spin-off ‘Rogue One’.
The big question we have is whether the X-Wing will be making a little hop across the pond for the London special screening of ‘Rogue One: A Star Wars Story’ next Tuesday, December 13 at the BFI Southbank?
Unless you’ve spent the past year on the desert planet of Tatooine, you’ll probably know that the movie is a prequel, of sorts, set just before the 1977 original, with 'The Theory of Everything' star Felicity Jones playing the leader of a group of rebels stealing the blueprints to the Death Star. Still, as much as we'd love to see an X-Wing in the West End, can you imagine the reaction of cabbies to Star Wars shutting down streets in London? You're 'avin a larf mate!
‘Rogue One: A Star Wars Story’ is out next Thursday, December 15.
