You know what most yoga classes are missing? Beer. Yeah, you heard me. You might expect to round off your yoga class with a green smoothie or vegan energy ball, but that’s all about to change thanks to the arrival of beer yoga in London.

If you’re thinking that a couple of pints might throw you off your balance or mess with your downward dog, don’t panic. The idea is that you do yoga and then drink beer. Seems reasonable. Good Yoga Life will be hosting a yoga class at London Fields Brewery, so once you're feeling all zen you can really relax and sink a pint of their Easy IPA.

And let’s be honest – if a yoga class isn’t enough to drag you out of bed, the promise of an ice cold beer will probably do the trick.

Yoga + Beer is at London Fields Brewery, The Taproom, 365-366 Warburton St, E8 3RR. Every Saturday from June 3, 10am-11am. £15. Book tickets.

In other weird workout news, you can now go to an exercise class to work out your jaw muscles.
