The burger-making geniuses behind Patty & Bun are launching a communal dining experience called ‘family style’. Each evening will feature a different chef and is curated around the idea of shared dishes and shared tables, though we don’t think you’ll want to share the food once you’ve eyed up the set menu.
Foodie writer Joe Warwick has picked some serious culinary talent to take over the kitchen at P&B’s Richmond Road branch. First up on the line-up is Michelin-starred Swede Niklas Ekstedt, who uses a fire pit, a wood-fired oven and a wood stove to bring you dishes such as hay-flamed salmon, ember-cooked beef and sour cream sorbet.
Ekstedt sets the flavour-bar high, but don’t worry, the rest of the takeovers sound just as promising. Future events will feature Copenhagen’s Rosio Sanchez, Yossi Elad from The Palomar, London’s go-to spot for modern-Israeli dishes, and Claude Bosi, the talent behind Bibendum.
This is one family gathering you won’t want to miss out on.
Get tickets for Niklas Ekstedt on May 15 and 16 at 2 Arthaus Building, 205 Richmond Rd, E8 3NJ.
