We already knew JK Rowling would be introducing new characters in the second ‘Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them’ movie as she expands the wizarding world of Harry Potter. Earlier this month it was revealed that Jude Law is to play the young Albus Dumbledore.

Now, another piece of the casting jigsaw seems to have slotted into place. Callum Turner is apparently in talks to play the brother of Eddie Redmayne’s character Newt Scamander.

All that’s known so far is that he’s called Theseus Scamander and he is an Auror, one of the investigators at the Ministry of Magic policing crimes related to the Dark Arts. He’s also a bit suspicious of Newt’s Magizoology. Londoner and ex-model Turner is best known for appearing in the US horror movie ‘Green Room’ and E4’s ‘Glue’.

Rowling has already said that she’s in the process of writing five wizarding movies in the franchise. ‘Fantastic Beasts 2’ is said to be darker than the first movie as Newt and the gang are forced ‘to decide on their allegiances’. We also know that the film will shift from New York as Newt arrives back in Blighty before heading off to France.

‘Fantastic Beasts and Where to find Them 2’ is due to arrive in cinemas in November 2018.

Here’s everything we know so far about ‘Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them 2’.
