Been meaning to get checked out at the STI clinic? You might want to book that appointment, stat.

According to new figures from Public Health England, STIs are on the rise in London. Meanwhile, everyone outside the capital can feel smug because diagnoses are decreasing across the rest of England.

Frisky Londoners accounted for one in four of all STIs and nearly half of all gonorrhoea cases in England last year. Of the 20 boroughs with the highest level of STIs, 18 of them were in London, with Lambeth, Kensington and Chelsea and Southwark taking up the not-so-desirable top spots on the league table.

At least now you know which areas to strategically eliminate from your Tinder search radius.

In other number-crunching news, over 90,000 London drivers were caught speeding on camera last year

And nine out of ten of the fastest growing populations in the UK are in London
