Mr Porter-branded black cabs are giving out swanky presents in December

Okay, your Uber driver might let you DJ the car journey and charge your phone, but this month London’s iconic black cabs come with a slightly more exciting proposition, or at least some of them do. From December 1 until the December 24, if you’re hailing a taxi make sure it’s plastered with marvellous menswear site Mr Porter’s scrawl as its holiday taxis are fuller than Santa's sleigh.

Every day, one London passenger will receive a free gift and, because it's Mr Porter, the presents won't be the usual tat you get from sitting on Santa's knee. Instead you could be the recipient of a Shinola watch, a Gucci card holder, Master & Dynamic headphones or a Kingsman tie, plus other equally plush products. Sounds like the perfect excuse to skip the Central line and hail yourself a black cab, pronto.
