Lovebox and Citadel are moving to Brockwell Park

There are big changes afoot on the festival circuit, as two of London’s best festivals have announced they are moving location in 2018.

Subject to licence approval, Lovebox and Citadel will both be moving from Victoria Park to Brockwell Park next summer. These fests have both had a long association with the east London park. Lovebox has been there 13 years, while sister festival Citadel (the more chilled Sunday companion to the full-throttle Lovebox) has been there three years. This follows lots of rumours over recent weeks that Field Day, another long-standing Victoria Park fixture, is also planning on moving south to Brockwell next year too.

Brockwell Park – between Brixton, Tulse Hill and Streatham – was used for the past two years as the site for Sunfall Festival. It also played host to the disco-flavoured Gala Festival, which took place on the May bank holiday last year. On a more family vibe, Brockwell has also been the home of the Lambeth Country Show since 1974 – so all in all it has a pretty decent pedigree for big, brilliant events.

Lovebox takes place on July 13th and 14th. Citadel is on Jul 15th. Keep an eye on our festivals hub for all the latest news on the best music shindigs.
