We asked you to spill (anonymously, of course) the dark secrets you’ve never told your mum and dad. Here’s some of the stuff you’ve been hiding.

‘My parents don’t know I work for the security services. I told them my cover story: that I’m a chef in a London hotel.’

‘I dated someone the same age as my dad for nine years.’

‘I got married and subsequently divorced without ever telling my parents.’

‘I’m gay and my “housemate” is my boyfriend.’

‘I have £20,000 of credit card debt.’

‘My parents think I did three years at Bristol University. I dropped out after the first term and have been professionally gambling ever since. I even faked my graduation photos.’

‘I hate you for reading the Daily Mail.’

‘I really, really like ketamine. Like, a lot.’

‘Nice try, dad.’

Next time: what message does sober you have for drunk you? Don’t hold back.
