Grab your nutcrackers and be prepared to get your hands dirty, because this bank holiday is all about all-you-can-eat crawfish (or crayfish, if you're not American).

Boondocks in Clerkenwell is throwing a cray pop-up from 7pm Friday to Sunday nights, where they'll be serving up a feast of Louisiana-style spiced crawfish, sweetcorn and potatoes, Polish-style beef sausage, garlic bread and their signature spicy sauces. For dessert there's ice lollies and brownies – if you can stomach them. And to add to the Americana vibes, the bar will be serving up beers, cocktails and margaritas.

Or if you fancy something different to your standard Sunday roast, Blues Kitchen in Shoreditch is hosting a party with bottomless crawfish between 2pm and 5pm. You can also help yourself to bourbon punch, and once you've had your fill you can sit back and soak in live music until late.

Get tickets for Blue Kitchen's Boogaloo night for £35 here.

Or get tickets for £40 for Bea's Crawfish Boil at Boondocks here.
