If Lambeth North is your nearest tube station, we've got bad news for you. From July, TfL is closing the station for seven months to replace the lifts in the station. 'Can't we just take the stairs?', we hear you cry! Apparently not. Although there are stairs from the platform, TfL has said that they're too narrow for two-way traffic. Repairing one lift at a time isn't an option, either, because if more people start using one lift, it's more likely to break - which is obviously not ideal. Looks like Lambeth North-dwellers will need to find a new route to work for the next seven months, sorry folks!
