The bad news: South West Four or SW4 – Clapham Common’s huge annual beats-and-bass festival teeming with world-class DJs – is sold out on both days of its bank holiday run. Boo. The good news: if you don’t have one of the 30,000 tickets for either day, you can still get in on the action at one of three official afterparties, or all of them if you think you’re hard enough.

Electric Brixton hosts South West More after both days of SW4, Saturday August 29 and Sunday August 30. On Saturday you can catch two giants of house music, Eric Prydz and Nic Fanciulli, while the Sunday bash features more pristine house and techno talent in Maya Jane Coles, George Fitzgerald and Mano Le Tough.

Meanwhile, fellow south London venue Ministry of Sound hosts its SW4 Afterparty on Saturday, with psychedelic disco warrior Todd Terje, deep houser Kidnap Kid, uber-funky Krystal Klear and New York duo The Menendez Brothers.

All of which make for three GR8 SW4 afters options.
