London is overflowing with ideas for niche animal cafés at the moment, whether it's micropigs, owls or even the world's ugliest animal, the blobfish, people are into it. But way before folks were cooking up plans for a café dedicated to creepy deep-sea creatures, Lady Dinah's Cat Emporium was one of the first novelty cafés to open its doors back in March 2014. And now it looks like we're getting a second café dedicated to the humble cat – and this time it's jungle-themed. It's called Ginger & Tom's and the brains behind the operation is Anna Kogan Nasser, co-founder of London's original cat café. She's no longer involved in running Lady Dinah's Cat Emporium but has decided that what West Hampstead is lacking is a jungle-themed cat café – and who are we to argue?

Anna hasn't confirmed the exact location yet but according to the Ginger & Tom's Facebook page, it will be one minute from West Hampstead tube. She told Ham & High that between 15-20 cats will be roaming around the café and they'll be coming from shelters and 'responsible breeders'. It's set to open in October this year and if the first cat café taught us anything, it's that Londoners are mad for cats. So sign up to their mailing list to make sure that you're the first to know of any goings on with the new feline venture.
