Jerk chicken pizza, Cocktails in The City and barbecue curries: it's LondOntheInside’s tips for March

Advertising

Our mates at LondOntheInside have rounded up five things they’re pretty damn excited about this month.

Cocktails in The City, One Mayfair, March 10-12

The last time we went to Cocktails in The City we were judges, which meant we got to try ALL the cocktails (and got so drunk we lost our score sheet), but that’s a story for another time. Right now all you need to know is that it’s back this month with 20 of London’s best bars knocking up ace cocktails all under one roof. We'll drink to that.

Roundhouse Rising, Camden, March 17-20

This month is all about emerging artists at the Roundhouse, with live performances from a whole load of peeps including two new faves of ours, The Magic Gang and Black Honey. But it's not just about listening to live music. If you're big into making music yourself and happen to play, write or record, get yourself to one of the many talks and demos that could help give you the tools to progress. And remember who to thank when youre on the big stage, yeah?

Curry Night at HotBox with Neil Rankin, Spitalfields, March 21

Having just about recovered from the meat sweats induced by the HotBox Smokestak co-lab we’re now looking to the next instalment of their one-night stands. This time Neil Rankin is in the kitchen creating a selection of curries using HotBox's smoked meats – think beef rib butter masala and smoked mutton biryani. In? Thought so. Take note though – go hungry or go home. Seriously.

Yard Sale x White Men Can't Jerk, Clapton, March 24–28

Jerk chicken or pizza? Tough decision, right? Not anymore because Yard Sale Pizza have teamed up with White Men Can't Jerk for a special limited-edition pizza. We're talking about a jerk gravy and slow cooked tomato base, fior di latte mozzarella, barbecued jerk chicken, callaloo leaf, and pineapple and scotch bonnet jam served with optional WMCJ house pickled scotch bonnet peppers for those who want to turn it up a notch.
