Go on, admit it, you own a pair of Crocs. They're lurking at the back of your wardrobe (next to the UGG boots), waiting for the moment that it becomes socially acceptable for them to be worn in public. Well, that time is NOW! Like Birkenstocks and pool sliders, Crocs are now officially fashionable thanks to designer Christopher Kane, who featured them on the runway at his London Fashion Week show on Monday. Yes, they had crystals on them, but they were still basically just your classic Croc.

Liberated from being solely worn by chefs and children (and ridiculed by everyone else) Crocs could well be about to have their 'ugly shoe' moment. We asked formerly furtive Croc wearer Adé Bankole why they're so damn great.

1. Sock on/socks off

Depending on the weather or fashion season, Crocs work into your wardrobe effortlessly. Smart? Casual? Croc it.

2. Rain or shine

Fully waterproof, Crocs are perfect for showers of all kinds.

3. Snowflakes

With a variety of styles, make like Chris and accessorise. No two need to be alike.

4. Multi-purpose

From doing the gardening to going raving, Crocs no longer just need to be limited to household tasks.

5. Relationship unity

Whisper it, but Crocs don't give off any nasty smells even after continuous use. Problem solved.
