Thought spring was here? Think again. Londoners should brace themselves (and fold away those short shorts) because the capital is about to experience some pretty wintery weather.

The Met Office has predicted thunder, lightning, potentially even snow this week. Yep, snow – in April. We hope you packed a brolly, as this morning’s blue skies are predicted to turn to sleet and hail by this afternoon. And after the fifth-warmest March on record we’re definitely going to feel it. The culprit? A pesky blast of chilly air sweeping over from the Arctic. Widespread frost is also predicted, so get ready for your Instagram feed to be filled with wintery pics.
